Like i said at the opening of this article, Rihanna is has done incredibly well for herself musically . Her music career took off in 2005 when she released her debut single “Pon de Replay. That song paved way for her, she became popular. She didn’t stop there, she released some hit songs like “Umbrella,” “Diamonds,” and “We Found Love.”
She also released some albums that have done well over the years and have won awards, some of those album include Good Girl Gone Bad and Anti. There is something that set Rihanna apart from others, and that is her unique voice and her song writing style.
She did something no other could do, when she released her last album Anti, she had already sold millions of records worldwide. She was known globally.
Rihanna’s Transition from Music to Business
Rihanna didn’t stop at been a musician, she ventured into business. In 2017, Rihanna launched her first business which is Fenty Beauty. Fenty was a beauty brand focused on making incredible makeup that goes well with any kind of skin. Fenty Beauty have been getting positive remarks and feedback over the year, people love it .
Rihanna is ambitious woman, that’s one trait i like about her. She didn’t just stop with Fenty Beauty. She went ahead and launched another business in 2018. It was a lingerie brand which she called Savage X Fenty. The brand also became very successful. Her both business became really successful. this made her among the richest musician in the world
Why Did Rihanna Stop Making Music?
There are few factors that made Rihanna stop making music. The first one was because she now has a family of her own, and that comes with a lot of responsibility. She got pregnant for Asap Rocky, they now have two amazing son and she wants to take care of them.
Another reason was because she wanted more time to focus on her business. Rihanna launched couple of businesses that had a promising future. The first one was Fenty Beauty, which she launched in 2017 and the second one was Savage X Fenty, which she launched in 2018. We all know that business require a lot of time and attention, so that also was a factor why she stopped making.
Does Rihanna Plan to Return to Music?
Well she didn’t say it directly, but i strongly believe she will be back to making music. The reason for saying so is because even though she’s not fully in music again, but we’ve seen her in some point make music. For instance she did a soundtrack for the movie black panther.
Not only that, in some interview, Rihanna has implied that she is working on releasing soon. There has been incident where Rihanna has been dropping teaser for a possible album, R9 forever. People believe that she would release the album in 2025. And that same year, she would be doing tour and she would be collaborating with few artist for her possible new album
Myself and countless fans are out there are excited about this, she has left the music world for long, it it time for her to return and release another hit album for her fans. Lets hope the news of comeback is true.
