She is the twin sister of Professor Xavier but loathes mutants; however, she found something special in Wolverine. Wolverine is known for his amazing healing ability, metal skeleton, violent fighting power.
Cassandra thought she could use him for her dark plans. If she had Wolverine in her possession, she would have a powerful ally, and this would also provide her with the means to harm the X-Men both physically and emotionally.

Who is Cassandra Nova?
Cassandra Nova is one of the strong and evil X-Men villains. She is Professor Charles Xavier’s twin sister, who founded X-Men. Whereas Xavier aspires to peace between humans and mutants, Cassandra Nova has grown into a being that despises mutants and aspires to eradicate them.
At birth, she had been endowed with highly effective psychic powers similar to her brother. She is actually so powerful that she can even control people’s minds, change her appearance, and heal herself from almost any injury.
Cassandra Nova was created from pure hatred and jealousy. She doesn’t have a real body of her own. That makes her very dangerous, since she can take over bodies. Through most of the X-Men comics, Cassandra Nova has been one very caustic adversary to the X-Men and therefore gains the title of being one of their deadliest foes.
Who is Wolverine?
Wolverine is one of the most loved and potent X-Men. His real name is Logan, but all people call him Wolverine because he has a couple of sharp, claw-like bones coming out of his hands. He is in possession of great healing powers, which mean he is able to recover even from the deadliest injuries in the very shortest time.
His skeleton is covered with some kind of super-powerful metal called adamantium; thus, his bones and claws are practically indestructible. Wolverine is known to be a fierce fighter with animal-like senses of super hearing and smell.
His personality is rough, mostly he tries to be away from people; in fact, he really cares about his friends and X-Men. During the years, Wolverine has gone up against so many enemies and has been a great fighter for both human and mutant protection. Strong and brave-that’s his heroism.
Why Did Cassandra Nova Want Wolverine?
Cassandra Nova, being Professor Xavier’s twin sister, had a special interest in Wolverine because of the following reasons: First, because Wolverine has superior healing powers, making him survive just about anything.
He was an asset to Cassandra’s plans since she would have him do all these tasks without risking him getting hurt. Second, Wolverine has an adamantium skeleton and he also has sharp claws, making him a really deadly fighter.
Controlling him would give Cassandra a real strong weapon to use against the X-Men and other foes. Thirdly, Wolverine holds a very dear and somewhat familial place within the X-Men.
If Cassandra could get him to turn against his own team, it would be a whole load of emotional pain and confusion for everyone. Overall, Cassandra wanted Wolverine because he was powerful, difficult to kill, and could hurt her enemies very badly.
How Cassandra Nova Tried to Control Wolverine
Mind control was among her methods of trying to control Wolverine. Cassandra is a strong telepath; that means she can enter other people’s minds and make them do what she wants. She had planned to use Wolverine against his friends in X-Men just by trying to take over his mind.
Another way Cassandra tried to control Wolverine was through illusions, actually making him see and hear things that were not real. This can confuse Wolverine and make him attack his teammates. Had Cassandra been able to properly control Wolverine, she could have easily used him as a tool to harm the X-Men from within.
