Gorge is an amazing movie. I saw it and i enjoyed it. It’s the perfect love story, but action included. With so many movies up for grabs, just about everyone wants to help you narrow the list down. So in this post, I will write my real review on Gorge: things that I liked about it, things that I would have liked better, and whether I think it is worth seeing or not. So, read on to discover if the film is actually likely to tickle your fancy!
Overview of Gorge Movie
The Movie Gorge (2025) is among one of my favorite movie of 2o25. The movie was directed is by Scott Derrickson. You probably know who the person is, he is the one that directed the movie, doctor strange. The movie is about a man called Levi and a lady called Drasa. Levi was an elite sniper in the marine.
He was so good that he was among the top five snippers in the world, and he Has taken incredible shots from a long distance and they all hit the target. But at some point, he was having mental breakdown because of all the things he has done, all the people he has killed. He couldn’t sleep at night without having recurring nightmare.
Drasa also is an incredible snipper from Lithuania. She has also taken incredible shots from a long distance and it killed it’s target. One thing that is common about the two of them, they could barely sleep at night because of all the killing they’ve done.
In the movie, Levi and Drasa are taken to an isolated mountain as post guard to protect the place. They were on a different tower with Drasa on the east. They were a bit far from each other and were not allowed to contact themselves. But as time went on, they started communicating through writing and with the help of a Binoculars telescope. They became very close friends and even lovers.
Levi and Drasa were a bit skeptical about what they were protecting. One time Levi decide to meet Drasa on the east tower. They meet, had a good time and as he was about go back to his own tower, an accident happened. He rope he was using got cut off from an explosion. He fell into the restricted part of the mountain. Drasa followed him. It was down there that they discovered the truth about the place .
Character in the Movie
Below are the main Character in Gorge:
1. Miles Teller as Levi
Miles Teller just like i said in the beginning of this article takes the role of Levi and he is a skilled sniper and a lone wolf who is stationed at the West Tower of *The Gorge*. Levi is well known for his regimen and discipline which allows him to command the West Tower of The Gorge efficiently and effectively, he understands the protocol of his posting and is a soldier in post best characterised by being obedient, focused and always following orders.
However, all changes when Levi forms an unexpected friendship with Drasa, Levi’s counterpart in the East Tower. As the connection between the two bonds gets stronger, he forget about the rule that no contact between them. He fell in love with her and even tells her that she has given him a reason to live.
2. Anya Taylor As Drasa
Anya Taylor-Joy portrays Drasa, an elite sniper and formidable operative whose role is to guard the East Tower of The Gorge.
Drasa wasn’t always the social type. She had no friends and was not really opened emotionally. i would say it was because of the nature of her job. When she came to the tower, she was all herself, but as time went on she started getting in contact with Levi, she now seemed emotionally opened, she lower her defenses and even reveal a vulnerable side of herself.
When the fate of Levi’s life is very much at stake Drasa makes an ultimate sacrifice by diving into the dangerous depths of *The Gorge* to rescue him, this act of bravery reveals that the relationship between him and Drasa is stronger than duty.
3. Sigourney Weaver as Bartholomew
Sigourney plays the role of of Bartholomew in the movie, the head of dark lake. As the leader of a research corporation tasked with employing elite operatives for what is a one year long mission to guard The Gorge there is no doubt that Bartholomew is the person who does so.
Upon the conclusion of the annual mission she sends her men to kill the guards to complete a rotation and prevent the secret concerning The Gorge from being known within the command hierarchy.
What Makes Gorge Movie Stand Out?(My Opinion)
The movie seem to be like any other movie out there, but there are few things that made it really standout. Please don’t take this as final, this is only my opinion.
The first thing that made the movie standout is because of the characters involved in the movie. The two main character, Levi and Drasa did an amazing job. They both embodied the character and did justice to it. The way Anya Taylor played the role of a snipper and assassin, but still managed to show her other soft, tender and loving side was truly amazing. It showed how tough she can be, but also it reveals her vulnerable side.
Miles Teller also did an amazing job with the Levi character. In my opinion, he wasn’t as good as Anya Taylor in portraying the character, but he also did an amazing job. I think the reason for that is that we didn’t see the tough part of him, i mean the part where he is sent on a mission to takeout people, just like we did with Drasa.
But in all, they both did an amazing job
is The Movie Worth Watching?
Definitely! The Movie is interesting. I’ll rate it 8/10. The director did an amazing job, the characters were really good and the storyline is captivating. I love the way they mixed romance and violence in the movie. The two main characters Levi and Drasa are both snipper, who have killed lots of people, but they still have this soft, tender part. They both fell madly in love and even risked their life for each other.
Its the perfect romance story, with a touch of action in it. If you’re skeptical about watching the movie, i’m here to tell you that it is a good movie.
